This work emerged from a fascination with those fleeting moments when the world feels almost unreal. A glowing sky reflected in still water, colors dissolving into one another, and the feeling of being completely present for a brief moment in time. Built through layers of colour and intuitive mark making, the painting balances movement and softness. Forms appear and disappear, inviting the viewer to linger between what is seen and what is imagined. For me, this piece is about wonder. About allowing yourself to drift beyond the everyday and reconnect with a sense of possibility, beauty, and quiet joy. Some places exist on a map. Others live only in memory, imagination, and the feeling they leave behind.
