30x30" by Debbie Pellegrini
One magical night, while camping near a desert spring, my husband woke me just after moonrise to the sound of wild horses all around us. They were coming to the spring after a scorching hot day for a drink of much needed spring water. The stud held back, his head lowered keeping a watchful eye over his band of mares before he would come to water. Peeking over the edge of the truck, I saw the newly risen moon shining on his dark coat, bathing him in the moon's silver glow. It is this memory that inspired me to paint "Moonglow."
