The Voyagers Heart

To me, white horses have always felt like a representation of my soul. I often feel a pull to paint them running—head arched proudly, mane carried by the wind, and their bodies drenched in radiant sunlight. Unlike most of my work, I began this painting without a plan, allowing each part to flow from me as I completed the last, until the painting slowly revealed itself. This piece is about the journey of a soul. The horse represents the spirit itself—a wild, hopeful, and valiant thing. Since moving to Florida, I have felt deeply inspired by the ocean and its symbolic nature. Here, the ocean represents endless possibilities and the generous outpouring of blessings in this life. I added sailboats to represent my husband and I: two souls traveling together, united by love and shared dreams. They are carried toward a setting sun, a symbol of promise and the many beautiful chapters still to come. This painting is a reminder that our souls are made to hope, to love, and to dream.
