Answering the call, my heart fills with faith. I step towards the unknown and see visions of promise, trusting destiny will find its way…

 I usually paint in a sort of heart shaped, triangular composition leading your eye around. But this composition happened in a very unusual way. 

The feeling is wild and untethered, not a normal bouquet of flowers you might find. 

With this painting, I had to really trust the process and believe it would turn out the way it was supposed to. It really echos the journey of motherhood, finding balance in how to be a good mom. Sometimes I think I can be overbearing, or over-protecting my baby too much. I have to remind myself it’s ok to let him fall. 

The seashell reminds me of this calling, to really listen within, to hear that small voice who already knows the way…
