Fields of Gold

A white frothy beauty, unbounded, unbridled, reveling in the joy of being alive. Moving through golden fields edged in wildflowers that bow obligingly, respectfully beneath the breath of the unseen mover. The future is radiant and bright and like this horse we ourselves race toward it with all that we have inside of us. It’s true, our perception and eyes may not have always viewed these fields in this light but the times and seasons were different, the light touched the earth at a different slant, the shadows were longer, the grass browner. But it’s here and now that the fields are golden, winsome and lush and whisper of opportunity, potential and destiny’s purpose. So let’s run with all we’ve got until our sides heave with the need for air and we’re hunkered over knees catching breath. Carpe Diem.
