Smoke and Spirits

Doug Simpson

Most everything we do is a picture, mirror image, or caricature of who we are as an individual. It is beneficial to step back and take a long view of a painting to see if it is a positive, a negative, or if it really matters at all. Sometimes, what we see from a disconnected overall view might be shocking. It may be water and smoke, demons, or dragons. It might be friendly spirits and the deep blue depths of the unknown. Or maybe its just passing color of a vision during an afternoon snooze.
