Laying down the foundation for the “RE:Made” series begins with fluid acrylics to create an image not unlike an ultrasound. The following layer begins to emerge with the form of a face or figure, representing the journey of life. The third layer features golden crevices to bring attention to the wounds we’ve carried on our journey and the healing we have experienced thus far. The final layer of refinement and highlights shows a further strengthening and resilience of the subject.

Inspiration
“RE:Made” is a series that focuses on the idea of transformation. To be remade is to embrace the transformative - and often uncomfortable - moments in our lives and see the world as we never have before. Being remade does not change our capacity, but it does change our focus. Our opportunities are still as vast as ever. We just have to see the world as we never have before.
