Wild & Winged

by: Emily Hamel

This piece is about vigilance and trust. A fierce, otherworldly woman keeps watch in the shadows, calm and unshaken, while her jaguar sleeps beneath her. It is both protector and friend, fully at ease in her presence.Their bond tells a bigger story. She's been through darkness herself, and she doesn't fear it anymore, she walks with it, and it becomes something protective instead of something to run from. Wrapped in soft mist, she is an angel guarding the wild rather than standing apart from it. They watch over each other, and together they show what it looks like to face the shadows without flinching.
