About The Artist
Jake Dunn, a multifaceted artist and co-owner of Milan Art, is a dynamic force in
the world of contemporary art. His mixed media artwork is a testament to his ability
to blend different mediums, creating pieces that resonate with energy, vigor, and
balance. As a skilled painter, music producer, videographer, and poet, Dunn
envisions a world where art is a fundamental part of every home, enriching lives
with meaning and inspiration.
Jake's journey into the art world is as unique as his creations. In spring O, he first
picked up a paintbrush in Queen Creek, Arizona, not as an artist, but as Milan Art
Institute's Lead Copywriter aiming to test the effectiveness of their "Oil Painting
Essentials" course. His initial foray into painting, coupled with his experience in the
course, quickly evolved from a professional experiment into a profound passion. His
progression, documented through a PLOG, showcases a remarkable transformation
fueled by practice and guided instruction.
While music production remained his primary passion, the Mastery Program at
Milan Art Institute uncovered a newfound love for painting. Jake discovered a
liberating freedom in art, a contrast to the often repetitive nature of music
production. The immediacy of seeing each brushstroke's impact led him to
appreciate painting's tangible and powerful effects.
Post-graduation from the Mastery Program, life brought new beginnings. Moving to
Georgia, Jake married Dimitra Milan, his love and former teacher in the program.
Their relationship, rooted in art, blossomed into a partnership in both life and work,
sharing days filled with creativity and collaboration.
As an innovator in the arts, Jake is dedicated to inspiring artists and individuals
worldwide to embrace their full potential. His life is a living testament to the belief
instilled by his mother that anything is possible. With aspirations of being an
exemplary father and a continual innovator, Jake Dunn stands as a beacon of
